Job Description:

Our client, a new, premier cannabis dispensary located in Netcong, New Jersey, is looking for an experienced General Manager (GM) to join their Team onsite, full-time.

The General Manager (GM) is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dispensary, ensuring compliance with state regulations, managing staff, and driving sales to meet business objectives.

The GM will lead by example, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring that the Company remains a trusted and respected provider of cannabis products.

MUST be willing to work evening/weekends.

Requirements:
  • 2+ years of related work experience in the cannabis industry (dispensary/retail side) or other highly regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals and healthcare.
  • Previous experience as a GM and/or Assistant GM in a licensed Cannabis dispensary is highly preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Ability to work weekends and/or evenings.
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong team player with self-motivation to complete tasks.
  • Enthusiastic about learning and sharing knowledge with others.
  • Minimum Associate's Degree in Business or related field. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Must be willing to submit to a background check.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Cannabis Business Identification card.
  • Ability to work standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to carry packages up to 30 pounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all daily operations of the dispensary, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations regarding the sale of cannabis products.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by setting high service standards and training staff to deliver outstanding experiences.
  • Manage and mentor a team of dispensary staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, sales, and customer information.
  • Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Conduct performance reviews and employee evaluations to ensure performance indicators are met
  • Ensure the dispensary is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
  • Handle financial transactions and ensure accurate cash management.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote products and special offers.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and changes in regulations.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with cannabis suppliers, vendors, and partners.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
  • Knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods is a plus.
