This position will be based at our Hampton Farms location in the Rocky Mount, NC.

Key Responsibilities:

Forecasting and Supply/Demand Planning:
  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using statistical models and market analysis by utilizing
  • Customer forecasts/data
  • Commercial forecasts
  • Marketing and promotional data
  • Historical data
  • Monitor and analyze sales trends, historical data, and market conditions to predict future demand.
  • Adjust forecasts based on changes in market conditions, promotional activities, and product lifecycle stages.
  • Convert POS dates to HF Sale dates
  • Identify gaps between statistical and commercial forecasts.
  • Act as a liaison between Sales and Supply Planning teams to ensure
  • Identify gaps in actuals and forecasts and drive business decisions to resynchronize demand and supply.
  • Ensure the ERP system has the proper demand information to drive supply activities.
  • Continuously improve forecasting methodologies to increase forecast accuracy and reduce forecast bias.
  • Implement geographic elements to larger forecasts to aid in distribution planning.

Inventory Management:
  • Ensure optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess and obsolete stock.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to align inventory levels with demand forecasts.
  • Implement inventory control strategies to reduce stockouts and improve inventory turnover.

Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Analyze demand and inventory data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Generate and present regular reports on demand forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and supply chain performance.
  • Use data-driven insights to recommend actions for improving demand planning and inventory management processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain teams to align demand forecasts with business objectives.
  • Participate in sales and operations planning (S&OP) meetings to ensure alignment between demand forecasts and supply chain plans.
  • Communicate demand planning insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.

Process Improvement:
  • Continuously improve demand planning processes and tools to enhance forecast accuracy and efficiency.
  • Implement best practices and new technologies to streamline demand planning and inventory management.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of demand planning processes and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, statistics, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or inventory management.
  • Food Manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Proficiency in ERP demand planning software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP APO, Oracle Demantra) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Experienced in combining, manipulating, and analyzing datasets in Microsoft Excel

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP) is desirable.

Work Environment

This role typically operates in an office environment, with occasional travel required for meetings and conferences. The position may require extended hours during peak periods or special projects.
