Head of North America Equity Research at MMC in Chicago, Illinois

Job Description:

The Head of North American Equity Manager Reaearch is responsible for the delivery of listed equity manage research across the North American region. Reporting to the Head of Equities, and working closely with the regional heads of equity manager research in the Europe/MENA and Asia Pacific regions, they should ensure the delivery of high-quality manager selection advice through Mercer's established research and rating frameworks. Responsibilities include:

• Manage a team of dedicated manager research specialists (c10-20) across North America, and allocate resources as needed.


• Ensure the manager research output is value adding, high quality and timely, andthe manager research process remains robust and evolves as needed.


• Working with the Head of NA Fixed Income Manager Research, ensure there is a strong relationship between Mercer's US/Canadian portfolio management teams (and CIOs) and manager research.


• Work closely with Mercer's OCIO business globally, and directors of consulting, to ensure research coverage meets Mercer's business needs. Ensure uncommercial coverage is not maintained.


• Represent Mercer's investment team (equity) internally and externally.


• Support Mercer's business development as needed, and ensure relevant new business is priced appropriately with realistic deliverables.
