About the Role



Customer Support Specialist III is a hourly position that is a key contributor to our Intermodal operations division. The primary responsibility is to ensure that customer shipments are delivered on time, provide daily interaction and develop relationships with customers and carriers. This position will work at our Los Angeles office in Brea CA.



What the Candidate Will Do



  • Verify order readiness for shipments and change appointments when necessary

  • Prioritize loads by time schedule, and customer priority ensuring deadhead is minimal

  • Ability to schedule using various customer applications

  • Confirm shipment delivery via carrier websites, phone, email, etc.

  • Create shipments when necessary based on customer and carrier business rules.

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with carriers contracted to the dedicated fleet as well as other carriers operating in your geographical region

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with shippers and receivers through professional and timely communications and inquiry responses

  • Correspond with Operations, customer, and carrier regarding rating and accessorial information as set per customer business rules.

  • Lead training sessions for Carrier Contacts as necessary on Carrier Portal.

  • Set-up new customer and vendor users and locations in the TMS, leveraging knowledge of customer business practices.

  • Use of JIRA to file tickets of identified issues surrounding invoice resolution.

  • Long term KPI reporting by account as determined by management.

  • Identify patterns with shipper, receiver and carrier performance and recommend actions for improvement


Basic Qualifications



  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • 2-3 years of Customer Service and/or Transportation experience


Preferred Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Logistics or Supply Chain Management

  • 2-4 Years of Customer Service experience within the Transportation or Logistics Industry

  • Working Knowledge and Utilization of the Uber Freight TMS

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Basic Math
