Job Title: Quality Assurance Support

Location: Department of Energy (DOE) Offices - Richland, WA; position may be telework eligible after 30-day waiting period requirement.

Compensation: $115,000.00 - $175,000.00, exempt position; salary depends on years of related work experience, educational requirements and level of experience.

Position supports DOE's AMSQ, QAD.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• BS/BA degree in engineering, science, technology or business management.
• 9 years of directly applicable successful experience as a management consultant or senior manager interfacing and working with organizational executives and senior management or senior technical or business within government or industry on significant management, technical or business issues.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Highly experienced in safety quality assurance (SQA) requirements as codified in Government Agencies Regulations and Orders, to ensure for safety and non-safety software engineering processes and methods meet established quality standards.
• Highly experienced in safety and non-safety software QA programs implementation.
• Demonstrated familiarity or relevant experience or ability to perform under Hanford or other government agency procedures.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in software quality assurance program implementation and oversight.
• Demonstrated experience with software quality assurance orders, guidance, consensus standards and common industry practices.
• U.S. Citizenship

Preferred Experience and Capabilities:

• Working level knowledge of Hanford Site mission, activities and priorities.
• Working level knowledge of DOE Hanford processes and procedures.
• Working level knowledge of DOE program and project management practices, policies and procedures.
• Working level knowledge of Hanford's QA programs.
• American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE) or equivalent.
• Familiarity with or ability to learn/use other technology management tools employed at Hanford.
• Excellent communication responsiveness and customer service skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office 365 and MS Office Suite.

Job Duties:

• Provide oversight support to external and internal auditing efforts (perform as a qualified auditor in QAD independent audits or surveillances).
• Assist Office of River Protection (ORP) in its efforts to manage and oversee projects in accordance with DOE orders, Hanford procedures and the ORP QA Program description.
• Provide quality related oversight functions to federal project directors in their efforts to address performance issues and verify completion of facility milestones.
• Conduct reviews of contractor actions and Office of Inspector General (OIG) recommendations.
• Conduct effectiveness reviews of contractor actions and OIG recommendations.
• Review and comment on new and revised QAD procedures and oversight reports to ensure the documents are of high technical quality.
• Review casual analysis and actions taken to prevent the recurrence of conditions adverse to quality.
