Description: Our client is currently seeking a VP, Engineering for a permanent/direct hire position based in the NYC metro.

Qualifications & Responsibilities:

• Define the technical direction for projects with implementable architecture designs that consider modernization efforts.


• Work with stakeholders to document solution requirements and align business and technology strategies.


• Engage with agile teams to deliver comprehensive solutions across different business domains.


• Oversee the architectural integrity of solutions within the designated portfolio.


• Educate and mentor development teams on best practices in design and coding, especially in areas like UI/UX, APIs, Microservices, security, DevSecOps, and cloud technologies.


• Create secure, scalable, and resilient architectural designs that align with global standards and support digital transformation.


• Establish application architecture and cloud migration/modernization roadmaps.


• Assess and integrate new data and technologies to meet business requirements.


• Utilize data and intelligence to enhance key processes.


• Contribute to the evolution of global platforms to introduce new capabilities and meet business objectives.


• Investigate and prototype technologies to advance transformation efforts.


• Ensure adherence to technology roadmaps, architectural principles, and standards.


• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent industry experience.
  
  


• 10+ years in solution architecture (integration, security, cloud).


• 5+ years in architecture for cloud-native/hybrid applications.


• 3+ years with UI frameworks.


• 3+ years in agile environments within a Scaled Agile framework.


• Background in Financial Services industry preferred.


• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.


• Ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently.


• Team-oriented with experience in global collaboration.
