Job Description:

Baer is looking for an SAP Production Planning Team Lead for a 10+ month remote project.


Title: SAP Production Planning Team Lead
Location: Remote with some trips to NC
Duration: 10 months
Rate: Hourly Plus Expenses Reimbursed
Alignment: W2 or C2C

Description:

• Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP Production Planning (PP) modules, ensuring alignment with business and operational requirements.


• Manage the full lifecycle of SAP PP implementations, including blueprinting, configuration, testing, go-live, and post-go-live support.


• Provide expertise on integration points with other SAP modules, including Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Financial Accounting (FI), and Controlling (CO).


• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, identify system gaps, and propose innovative, scalable solutions.


• Ensure the stability and optimal performance of SAP PP through system monitoring, troubleshooting, and proactive problem resolution.


• Partner with development teams to address any system enhancements, customizations, or performance issues.


• Train and mentor team members on SAP PP processes, best practices, and tools.


• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including business process specifications, test plans, technical documentation, and user manuals.


• Engage with business users to quickly identify and resolve system issues, ensuring timely and effective support.


• Stay current with the latest SAP PP features, industry best practices, and emerging trends in production planning and automotive manufacturing.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with SAP PP configuration and implementation, with a focus on the automotive sector.


• Proven track record of leading multiple full-cycle SAP PP implementations.


• In-depth knowledge of SAP PP processes, including Production Planning, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and Production Execution.


• Expertise in automotive-related SAP PP processes (e.g., PP/DS, Vehicle Management System (VMS), and Integrated Product and Process Engineering (iPPE)).


• Strong understanding of integration with SAP MM, SD, FI, and other key modules.


• SAP PP certification is a plus.


• Automotive industry experience is essential.


• Experience in S/4HANA PP.


• Experience in S/4 technical migration


• Experience with SAP IS-Automotive


• Experience with APO PP/DS (SCM)


• Experience with iPPE


• Experience with VMS


• Prior team management experience


• Knowledge of SAP Fiori and SAP cloud solutions.


• Strong analytical and project management skills.


• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
