Role description:

The Resilience Water Business Line of Arcadis is searching for a candidate with an Electrical Engineering degree to join our world class consulting firm in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will have studied computer control systems, logic systems, industrial controls, and three phase power systems.

Primary focus of this role will be to provide entry level technical design with a focus on process controls and power distribution in a multi-discipline team environment for that involve the collection, treatment and distribution of water for public use.

To be successful in this position the candidate will need to be performance-driven, team-oriented and outgoing with a committed work ethic. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background, good oral and written communication skills and the ability to work productively and cooperatively in a team environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
  • Academic emphasis on computer controls, logic systems and three phase power systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project and Outlook).
  • Good written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) / Engineer in Training (EIT) license or ability to obtain within one (1) year from date of hire.
  • Basic knowledge of PLCs and their use.
  • Experience developing logic software for Modicon, Allen-Bradley or other PLC.
  • Basic knowledge of graphics development for user interface devices such as a computer workstation.
  • Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD, Visio, or other graphic drafting development software.
  • Active participation in regional and/or national professional associations.
  • Experience using ETAP, SKM Power Tools or other power systems analysis software.
  • Internship / part-time work for a consulting engineering firm or systems integrator.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $52,000 - $78,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
