Job Description:

Operations Trainer

Starting Rate: $20.87 to $26.12 per hour for day shift with a $.50 an hour shift differential for night shift.

Work Hours: Days primarily but could be asked to flex schedules

Work Location: We have 2 locations in Crawfordsville. The South Plant located at 600 SR 32 West and the North Plant located at 1009 Sloan Street.

As a Trainer, you will:

• Support and develop safe work practices
• Responsible for working alongside identified employees to deliver training in line with production.
• Responsible for coordinating development and training events for employees in operations
• Coordinate and track all assigned department training activity
• Responsible to create and maintain standard work instructions and training aids
• Responsible to create and follow prescribed training techniques and documentation
• Work in a team environment and cross-train with others.
• Responsible for completing on the job training checklists.
• Responsible for verifying that the trainee has demonstrated competence in the areas identified on the assigned training checklist.
• Responsible for completing knowledge transfer as outlined using the training checklist to track and report progress.
• Responsible for communicating with site supervision of any changes or modifications that are needed to the program to support the trainee.
• Responsible for reviewing the progress and accomplishment of training goals with site/department leadership at agreed-upon intervals and at the end of the training.
• All other duties as assigned by site leadership
• Bilingual recommended, not required

Qualifications:

• Previous experience at RRD or Lakeside Book Company

• Strong hands on operations experience
• Demonstrated trainer skills
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to evaluate and measure trainee's performance
• In good standing with the company
• Desire to help others grow and be a positive contributor
• Computer skills are a plus
