PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

EMPLOYEE IS REQUIRED TO EXECUTE THE FOLLOWING:
• Occasional bending, reaching, pushing and pulling when retrieving and moving various items
• Lifting intermittently of various items. Typically, assistance would be provided for weights exceeding 35 pounds
• Good manual dexterity to operate computer equipment and precision measuring instruments
• Oral communication via telephone or in person while interacting with customers, suppliers, or other employees
• Position may require more than eight hours daily and more than five days weekly to complete work assignments
• Sitting in chairs (swivel, padded, and adjustable)
• Squatting / crouching when retrieving stored items from lower shelves and file cabinets, making equipment / product inspections, etc
• Standing intermittently
• Visual monitoring of computer screens
• Visual inspection and review of products for compliance to specifications.
• Visual viewing of processing equipment, precision measuring instruments, prints, reports, manuals, procedures and an assortment of printed items

• Computer, phone, standard office equipment

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position will work with the production planning team to complete the daily shipping schedules and ensure that all shipping paperwork is complete and accurate. This position contributes to the overall performance of the daily/weekly/monthly shipping metrics and on-time delivery.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Works under general supervision performing duties related to the preparation of paperwork associated with the shipment of castings and miscellaneous materials.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• The retrieval and preparation of shipping documentation.
• Prepare export documentation for foreign shipments.
• Prepare miscellaneous shippers for non-casting related materials.
• Coordinate pick-up and delivery of materials and castings.
• Perform other office duties as required, typing, filing etc.
• Working with production planning, sales, and quality to coordinate shipments.
