Permanent Accounting Clerk




M-F 8-5 PM




On site Rochester, Ma




$28-$30/hour



Our client in Rochester, Ma, a local law firm is seeking an organized and detail-oriented accounting professional to join their team. This role involves a variety of accounting activities, including invoicing, filing, reconciliation, purchasing, and accounts payable. The ideal candidate will be hardworking, possess excellent communication skills, and have experience with QuickBooks, Quicken, and Legal Tracker (LEDES invoicing).



Essential Functions:



  • Enter accounts receivable and payable transactions accurately.

  • Perform daily account reconciliations.

  • Process bank deposits and manage cash flow.

  • Generate and send invoices in a timely manner.

  • Handle purchasing processes and vendor communications.

  • Maintain organized files and records.

  • Assist with payroll processing and new employee onboarding.

  • Prepare financial reports and track data for analysis.


Skills:



  • Proven experience as an accounting clerk; legal office experience is a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting and accounting principles.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (spreadsheets and formulas).

  • Ability to multi-task, manage interruptions, and prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Requirements:



  • Associate's degree in Accounting or a minimum of 4 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience.
