SUMMARY



Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Senior FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) Manager. It will play a pivotal role in driving the company's financial strategy and planning processes. This position is responsible for overseeing budgeting, financial forecasting, and various management reporting functions. The Senior Manager of FP&A will collaborate closely with the CFO, COO, and CEO, providing insightful analysis and reporting to support key leadership in making informed strategic decisions.

Responsibilities




ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, including coordination with all department heads and various Operation teams, preparation of detailed financial forecasts, and regular updates to reflect current business conditions.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support various business scenarios and evaluate the financial impact of business strategies and decisions.
  • Manage and optimize the company's Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) system, Workday Adaptive Planning, ensuring it is used effectively for budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting from the CRM system, providing insights into contract performance and pipeline management.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports for the Board of Directors and Executive Leadership, including variance analysis, key performance indicators (KPIs), and recommendations for improvement.
  • Refine data systems and tools to track performance, provide reporting solutions and enhance operational insights.
  • Partner with senior leaders to support strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, investments, and cost-saving strategies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a focus on budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
  • Experience in working with Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) tools and applications
  • Experience in preparing and presenting financial reports to senior management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally




Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics


  • Proficient in the usage of computers, especially Microsoft Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Must have the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of senior leadership and managers.
  • Must be organized and can meet deadlines while multi-tasking.
  • Must be able to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize and accomplish your work.
  • Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully.


Preferred


  • Prior experience working with Alaska Native Corporations or other Federal Government contractors
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint
  • Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning

  • This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation "safety-sensitive" functions.
  • This position does perform DOT "safety-sensitive" functions (as defined under 49 CFR Part 40) and is subject to all federal requirements related to Department of Transportation requirements for those performing, or on-call to perform, "safety-sensitive" functions. Employees must provide a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).


WORK ENVIRONMENT



Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.


The job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily in a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • No supervisory responsibilities.


ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS



As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
