Locate, pull, and bring orders using a sit-down forklift
Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
Transport raw materials to production workstations
Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs; keep track of inventory
Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities
Other duties as assigned
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Proven experience as a sit-down forklift operator
Valid certification to operate forklifts required; we will also certify through company
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to work any shift as required including week days and weekends, overtime, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working for a manufacturing company
Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
Basic math skills to keep track of inventory
Bilingual - English and Spanish-language.
