Our client or the "Company" is a privately owned specialty manufacturing company based in Addison, Illinois with over 50 employees.
We are searching for a performance driven manufacturing professional who will provide leadership of team members to provide quality and on-time parts to current and prospective customers. The Operations Manager will drive continuous improvement of current and developing processes for quality, delivery, cost, and innovation.
You will report directly to the General Manager and manage, lead, and inspire a team of production employees to achieve safety, quality, throughput, and on-time delivery metrics. The Manager will make a personal investment in developing employees based on respect, teamwork, humility, integrity, and results.

Manage all aspects of production to deliver quality products, on-time and at a competitive price for near-term and long-term production
Responsible for achieving budgeted or forecasted earnings
Facilitate product launches and ensure milestones are met
Drive continuous improvement processes
Develop operational resiliency to ensure growth objectives for the business despite unknowable challenges
Efficient utilization of capital equipment
Coach, engage, and direct staff to deliver operational results that meet or exceed expectations
Instill a culture of employee safety
Ensure compliance with all standards and certifications
Manage the assets and current liabilities of the balance sheet for the near-term and the long-term
The successful candidate's educational background will include an undergraduate degree in operations management, business, or engineering. Experience utilizing continuous improvement tools, including Lean, 5S, Kaizen, and value stream mapping. Experience with change management and leadership of a manufacturing facility. General past demonstrated understanding and use of business P&L. Computer skills using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
