We currently have 3 openings for Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to join our expanding onsite project team in New Haven, CT! As a part of this role, you will be providing engineering oversight and support while collaborating with top-tier professionals on a major capital program for a global leader in scientific research. The Engineer's responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Provide oversight and/or support of mechanical/electrical, plumbing, fire protection engineering reviews.
Ensure the Basis of Design is complete and comprehensive.
Engage with the individual project teams to ensure system selection and designs meet standards and are aligned with operational goals and capacity.
Participate in the selection of engineering firms for projects.
Provides feedback at each design checkpoint and for relevant submissions.
Perform commissioning and project turnover support tasks as required.
Compile significant lessons learned to inform development of design standards and operational protocols.
Desired experience:
A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience as a design electrical or mechanical engineer
Experience with laboratory design or equivalent technical complexity.
Must be certified Engineer-in-Training (EIT), LEED AP accredited professional OR Professional Engineer (PE)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Capacity to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering or related field.
Ability to successfully pass a thorough criminal background check
