Job Overview: The Manufacturing Engineer - Logistics will play a critical role in streamlining and improving logistics operations within our manufacturing environment. This role involves analyzing and refining logistics processes, coordinating with various departments to ensure efficient material handling, and implementing strategies to support the overall manufacturing and distribution goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Logistics Process Optimization:
  • Analyze current logistics processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize the flow of materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility.

Supply Chain Coordination:
  • Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials.
  • Monitor inventory levels and work with suppliers to address any issues related to material availability.

Manufacturing Integration:
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to understand production requirements and develop logistics solutions that support manufacturing goals.
  • Ensure alignment between manufacturing schedules and logistics operations to minimize disruptions and maximize efficiency.

Process Design and Implementation:
  • Design and implement logistics processes, including material handling, storage, and transportation systems.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for logistics activities.

Technology and Automation:
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies and automation solutions to enhance logistics efficiency.
  • Oversee the implementation of logistics software and systems to streamline operations and improve data accuracy.

Project Management:
  • Lead or support logistics-related projects aimed at improving process efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing engineering with a focus on logistics or supply chain management.
  • Strong understanding of logistics processes, supply chain principles, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and improve complex processes.
  • Strong project management skills with experience in leading cross-functional teams.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
