Position Summary:
The Commercial Loan Associate provides support to the Director of Loan Operations and Finance Department by processing lending documentation and ensuring that conditions prior to closing and funding are cleared and in compliance with regulatory standards. The duties and responsibilities of this role require attention to detail and accuracy at a high level. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, professional, and capable of managing their workload and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced corporate environment. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm (Non-remote position)
Essential Responsibilities:
Create and document basic loan processes.
Manage finance department loan document filing system on the company SharePoint site.
Abstract loan terms, prepare summary of loan terms, and add to Yardi and/or other debt management platforms.
Audit closed loans quarterly.
Identify and pull risk information from Loan Documents.
Complete basic quarterly covenant calculations.
Assist with other corporate financial and reporting requirements as needed.
Complete and obtain signatures for compliance certificates.
Create new files for loans, acquisitions, and dispositions of commercial properties including ordering title, escrow, and payoffs.
Maintain loan closing pipeline.
Review entity documentation for proper signing authority.
Manage signatures of closing documents.
Prepare select forms, questionnaires, and other required documents related to loan due diligence.
Maintain direct interaction with Lenders, Title Companies, and third parties throughout closing process.
Manage Lender site inspections with proper scheduling, facilitation, and information-sharing protocols. Ensures appropriate personnel are in attendance with required information that complies with internal guidelines.
Order UCC Searches and Good Standings.
Track Release/Reconveyances & UCC terminations
Create closing books for loans, acquisitions, and dispositions
Distribute closing books, loan summaries, and related loan information to all parties
Ensure all transactions are properly documented and stored in FileTrail Records Management System
Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Education & Experience:
2+ years of experience in commercial loan processing, closing, and funding preferred.
Must enjoy fast-paced work environment and ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Ability to prioritize and excellent attention to detail and organization.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
Minimum 2-year degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
