Position Overview:
As a Refractory Estimator, you will play a crucial role in assessing project requirements, developing accurate cost estimates, and working closely with both the sales and project management teams. Your expertise will help ensure we provide competitive, profitable, and high-quality services to our clients across various industries.
Key Responsibilities: • Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to understand project scope. • Perform accurate material take-offs for refractory projects. • Collaborate with suppliers to obtain material pricing and availability. • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment. • Develop proposals and submit competitive bids in a timely manner. • Provide technical support and insights during pre-bid meetings with clients. • Analyze project risks and suggest mitigation strategies. • Communicate effectively with project managers and management to ensure estimates align with project execution strategies. • Continuously update and maintain a database of historical costs and project information.
Qualifications: • Proven experience in refractory estimating or related industrial field. • Strong knowledge of refractory materials, applications, and installation methods. • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. • Proficiency in estimating software and tools. • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client and internal collaboration. • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. • A background in industrial projects (steel, aluminum, cement, power generation, etc.) is a plus.
