Job Title: Production Planner/Scheduler

Quick Quack Car Wash is seeking a self-motivated and eager individual to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment. The Production Planner will oversee daily production schedules and ensure that deadlines are met. They will act as a liaison between supply chain and manufacturing operations to coordinate and communicate order requirements through the required processes. This person will help the manufacturing team through their planned daily activities and support the warehouse to guarantee a smooth flow of material and products through the plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Schedule usage of production materials to ensure optimal production levels
• Evaluate suppliers or quality, timeliness and match according to goals
• Monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage
• Identify and resolve problems relating to inventory
• Forecast market challenges based on competitor analysis and industry trends
• Address issues regarding quality and production
• Produce reports based on findings and performance of production
• Meets with Production daily and takes the lead role to facilitate the prioritization of jobs for production operations
• Provide risk reports to management for impact to schedule. Escalates critical issues.
• Maintains production plan risk report highlighting material issue and production capacity constraints
• Job order management accountability from start (job creation) to finish (job close)
• Will also perform various data mining projects as defined by management
• Manage deadlines based on project expectations
• Oversee the production process to ensure delivery of high-quality products that meet company standards
• Identify any bottlenecks or delays in production; ensures necessary labor, materials, and other resources are available to relieve production bottlenecks and delays
• Maintains a clean, safe and organized workspace.
• Interprets manuals, design specifications, blueprints, etc.
• Maintains a positive attitude while working in a dynamic team environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:
• At least 3 years of relevant experience required
• Prior experience as a production planner in the industry preferred
• Knowledge of MRP
• Knowledge of Bill of Materials
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
• Strong regard for product quality and safety standards
• Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
• Meticulous and diligent
• Able to sit, stand and move around for long hours at a time
• Extensive knowledge of manufacturing requirements, planning and associated processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with computerized materials control programs.
• Must be able to bend, kneel, squat, stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
