About the Role:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills in order to best support the accounting team.
Responsibilities:
Manage accounts payable processes
Submit customer invoices and prepare accounts receivable aging reports
Assist with accounts receivable collections
Assist with payroll and compile supporting reports
Record cash receipts and process bank deposits
Process account reconciliations
Maintain orderly workspace and filing system
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
Provide clerical and administrative support to management as needed
Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Qualifications:
One year experience preferred, but not required
Knowledge of basic accounting procedures and accounting controls
Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Familiarity with financial accounting statements
Understanding of accounting ledgers and double entry bookkeeping (debits and credits)
Payroll processing experience preferred, but not required
Must be team oriented, flexible, dependable, accurate, and consistent
Accuracy and meticulous attention to detail
High aptitude for numbers and quantitative reasoning
Advanced MS Excel skills
