Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Chemist to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of products by conducting various laboratory analyses and maintaining compliance with cGMP standards. The ideal candidate will have a background in chemistry or a related science field and will be responsible for performing analytical tests, troubleshooting equipment, and working collaboratively with the quality control team.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and non-routine chemical analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products in accordance with cGMP standards.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including Gas Chromatography (GC) and Liquid Chromatography (LC) instruments, ensuring proper functionality and troubleshooting when necessary.
Conduct laboratory analytical techniques such as titrations, gravimetric methods, and sample preparation with accuracy and precision.
Document test results in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
Assist in the development and validation of new analytical methods as needed.
Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure timely and accurate testing of samples.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and laboratory best practices at all times.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline (Chemistry preferred).
Experience in a cGMP-regulated facility, with a focus on quality control or analytical chemistry.
Familiarity with Empower Software is a plus, though not required.
Experience working with laboratory instrumentation, specifically GC and LC, with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain these systems.
Proficiency in laboratory analytical techniques such as titrations, gravimetric analysis, and sample preparation.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Shift Information:
This position is for the 2nd shift, Monday through Friday.
