General Description
This is a 6 month (potentially 12 month) temporary Research Scientist I role, onsite in our Burlington, NJ facility.
Role Description
Test and approve raw materials and finished products. Manage COA databases
Customer and technical support
Perform research-related testing
Manage lab chemicals and supply inventory
Maintain laboratory hygiene and safety
Assist R&D manager to ensure local regulations are followed and reporting is submitted, including stormwater maintenance, fire inspection, OSHA 300, and NJ RTK reporting, etc.
Assist in managing the quality system and ISO 9001 requirements.
Update safety data sheets and labels as required, coordinating with the corporate compliance group. Communicate changes to Purchasing.
Assist with creation and review of IPC marketing content when needed.
Complete all safety and application training.

Work Experience Requirements
Experience in chemical laboratory environment is required
Basic understanding of local regulations and regulatory requirements
Formulation knowledge of industrial specialty chemicals, particularly emulsion technology, cleaners, and metalworking fluids
Technically proficient and pleasant demeanor when working with coworkers and customers
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Skilled in multi-tasking; including the ability to be flexible and adapt to changes quickly
Education Requirements
Without experience, technical, associates, or college degree in chemistry, life science or related field required. College or advanced degrees in scientific fields preferred.
