Job Description:

The Accounting, Inventory and Cost Analyst will assist the Accounting Supervisor to perform a wide variety of accounting functions such as overseeing accounting processes, making improvements on processes, and maintaining accurate accounting records. Work is performed by applying knowledge of accounting principles, accounting terminology, and utilizing automated accounting systems.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform or oversee accounting functions to assist the Accounting Supervisor
Coordinate process and reconcile a wide variety of accounting documents, such as, invoices, customer rebates, customer payments, and vendor rebates.
Compile and review information for accuracy, maintain records and archive documents.
Apply knowledge of accounting principles and accounting terminology.
Utilize accounting automated systems and/or spreadsheets.
Plan, coordinate, and execute cycle counts, make adjustments into inventory database following inventory rules and identify/report reasons for significant shortages/overages.
Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies of incoming product.
Function as liaison between warehouse and accounting department.
Prepare monthly reporting of inventory movement.
Other duties and projects assigned.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent work experience
3-5 years accounting experience
Extensive Excel spreadsheet experience including creation, manipulation, and organization to produce data requested.
Proficiency in MS Excel required (pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis/manipulation
Financial reporting and analytical skills
Knowledge of or experience with accounting systems
Electronic scanning, communication, and workflow software knowledge
Strong accounting system acumen
