Job Description:

The Team Leader will Assists team members in following standard work in order to meet goals with respect to safety, quality, and production. Assists with training employees, facilitates employee suggestions for 2 second lean videos, and stays in constant communication with supervisor.
Essential Functions
Required but not limited to:

Leads team meetings daily to include morning stretch routine, make company announcements and to review daily attainment.
Performs daily checks at the beginning of each shift, creates daily attainments based off of orders due, posts hourly metrics, records reasons for results and acts on flow interrupters.
Demonstrates sufficient technical proficiency to support operator performance and departmental goals.
Helps ensure employees are properly trained. The team lead is responsible for maintaining the department training matrix monthly and reviews it monthly with manager.
Expected to meet or exceed production rates and quality standards. Maintains and improves on own and operators' standard work.
Monitors team member performance by posting hourly metrics, work-station set-up, correct use of proper tools, etc., to assure adherence to safety, ergonomic and quality standards.
Responsible for ordering/retrieving parts from the warehouse and parts supplier daily to ensure the carousel and static shelves are stocked according to the set min/max levels.
Ensures a monthly inventory of shipping supplies is completed and inventory levels are sent to Production Control
Verifies parts using work instructions or blueprints. Assures pieces and material received for processing and removed after processing are tagged with correct count and identification number, without multiple tags.
Responsible for documenting and maintaining all work instructions for Parts and Service
Updates supervisor daily at the beginning of the shift and end of the shift to review daily attainment, review open issues and flow interrupters that occurred during the shift.
Ability to operate and empty cardboard compactor
Fork truck certification is required

MAJOR DUTIES:

Provide timely processing of parts orders to all AF customers
Material handling duties
Specialization in LTL shipments, John Deere, stocking orders, painted large parts and obsolete parts
Pulls parts from warehouse to have stocked on the static shelves and parts carousel daily
Cross-trains in order to perform all tasks in Parts and Service, including parts carousel
Ability to effectively order parts from part supplier
Review the out-of-stock report and open order reports daily to ensure timely delivery of orders
Works overtime as needed (Including Weekends if Necessary)
