Job Title: Project Coordinator- Nuclear Projects



Work Location: Richland, WA



Contract: 1+ year contract



Job Description:



Coordinate project teams of 1-5 members, overseeing planning, scheduling, and control of project activities. Serve as a specialist with in-depth knowledge of specific projects. Stay updated on new developments and technologies. Monitor projects and recommend improvements for operational efficiency. Develop budget estimates.



Preferred Certifications:

• PMP Certification (desired but not required)


• Construction Management Certification (desired but not required)

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage small projects for refueling outages, forced outages, and on-line maintenance.


• Oversee staff in planning, leading, controlling, and monitoring to ensure safe, quality, on-schedule, and within-budget work.


• Handle all aspects of project implementation, including budget, work package preparation, parts procurement, ALARA planning, industrial and nuclear safety, work prioritization, resource loading, and work execution.


• Develop and track budgets for assigned projects.


• Maintain frequent communication with clients, engineers, related parties, and management to ensure proper progress and focus.


• Develop and manage contracts and vendor interfaces.


• Prepare and deliver written and oral communications to various groups, including senior management.


• Develop and maintain long-range plan strategies for assigned projects.


• Provide outage support, including OCC.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related field from an accredited college or university AND one year of experience in a technical field.


• OR Associate's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related technical curriculum from an accredited college or university AND three years of experience in a technical field.


• OR High School Diploma/GED AND five years of experience in a technical field.

Skills Needed:

• Basic project management techniques.


• Core values related to human performance and cost-effective work execution.


• Proficiency in MS Office.

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with error reduction and human performance improvement methods.


• Knowledge of cost-effective work execution methodologies.


• Experience in managing projects, on-line work management, refueling and forced outage management, engineering, or standard project management techniques.
