POSITION DESCRIPTIONJob Title: Cost EngineerDivision/Department: OperationsReports to: Project EngineerLocation: Houston, TXFSLA: Exempt SUMMARY: The Cost Engineer will be able to perform all aspects of cost control in an accurate, thorough and timely manner which includes assessing and reviewing client and subcontract change orders, assisting with the preparation of budgets and reports in accordance with established company policies and procedures.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILTIES:• Supervision of the monthly closing and preparation of an executive summary to be submitted to the Financial Manager.• Preparation of the forecast for the next 4 month billing cycle, including revenue, cost, and cash-flow projections.• Preparation and analysis of the following reports to ensure they accurately reflect the current project status: monthly cost report, weekly reports, LDR, payroll, labor report, summary report, and weekly quantities.• Supervision of subcontractors and service agreements, purchase orders and change orders, contract modifications, and estimation of billing-payments and cost impact to the project.• ECMS and P6 software.• Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.REQUIREMENTS:• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management • Financial background preferred.• 5-7 years' experience in heavy civil construction.• Experience with P6 software preferred.• Must have excellent negotiation and problem resolution skills• Must be a team playerDRAGADOS USA IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
