Global Capital Projects Intern at AstraZeneca in Gaithersburg, Maryland

Job Description:

We are seeking undergraduate engineering students for a 12-Week Student Intern role to be working on a nationwide team with 2 openings in Gaithersburg, MD and 1 opening in Coppell, TX for a May 19th - August 8th contract period.



Duties:

• For Projects in Execution phase - Working alongside Work Package Lead, to drive construction on a particular aspect of project's scope, including attending: trade progress meetings, safety meetings, design meetings, conducting field walks, etc.


• For Projects in Development phase - working along side the Project Technical Manager to drive the design on a particular aspect of the project scope.


• Lead creation of practical tools used to drive the design or execution of a capital project.


• Collaborate with other Global Engineering Capital Project Interns on a process improvement project/initiative.

Position Requirements:

• Sophomore and junior students working towards a degree in engineering or a related field. Candidates graduating before or during the program will not be considered.


• Previous facilities operations experience is a plus.


• Enthusiasm for collaboration, cross-functional projects, and presentation design.


• Ability to report onsite to Gaithersburg, MD or Coppell, TX 4-5 days per week.


• CPT and OPT are not supported for this role.


• Minimum grade point average of 3.0
