RESPONSIBILITIES:

Our Kforce client, a well-established financial services company seeking a Tax Specialist to join their team in Boston, MA. This client offers competitive compensation, opportunity for growth, great company culture. This position is scheduled as On-site.

Duties:

• Tax Specialist will provide tax planning and advisory services to the company


• Ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations


• Manage tax audits and disputes with tax authorities


• Prepare and filing tax returns for the company


• Understand complex tax issues and provide guidance on tax strategies


• Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation for tax purposes


• As a Tax Specialist, you will develop and implement tax saving strategies


• Stay informed about changes in tax software and technology to improve efficiency and accuracy in tax preparation


• Other projects as assigned by Tax Senior

REQUIREMENTS:

• BA degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or MST preferred


• 3-5 years in public tax with financial services clients preferred


• Software - proficiency in using tax software and other technology to prepare tax returns, analyze data, advanced MS Excel


• Attention to detail - close attention to detail with constant changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure accuracy in presenting financial reports


• Strong analytical skills - analyze complex financial information and tax regulations


• Ethical behavior - adhere to ethical standards and confidentiality guidelines when handling sensitive financial information for the company


• Time management - handle tight deadlines, especially during tax season, prioritize task and manage their time effectively

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
