Qualifications



RS&H is currently seeking an airfield engineer to join our passionate aviation team in Denver, CO. As an airfield engineer, you’ll work mostly in the office as a lead designer for our civil airfield projects. You will execute the design vision that our senior engineers develop in partnership with our clients. You will consistently deliver innovative designs with technical precision - on time, within budget, and to our clients’ complete satisfaction. As you design, you will also share your knowledge with junior engineers so that we are consistently developing their skills and adding to your leadership experience.

Requirements

Here’s what you need to be successful:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or similar discipline from an ABET-accredited university.
  • You are a licensed professional engineer and able to obtain reciprocity within six months of the start date in [LOCATION].
  • You have experience working on civil engineering projects, including at least five years of airport or highway design experience.
  • You possess a strong understanding of AutoCAD to review others’ work. You should have extensive experience with Civil 3D because almost all your designs will be done in this program. You will also need full knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) for completing day-to-day tasks.
  • You are excited about aviation design and ready to dig in and complete the day-to-day design work to serve our airport clients. This can include:
    • the geometric design of runways, taxiways, and aprons
    • bituminous and concrete pavement design
    • stormwater and utility infrastructure design
    • coordination with airports, airlines, FAA, other tenants, and the construction management teams.

Typical salary range for this position is $85,785 to $137,278 annually and commensurate with experience relative to the position.
