Job Description:

TheManager Financeis a highly impactful role, working closely with key stakeholders across the business and Finance leadership. The role involves supporting strategic and operational initiatives, delivering financial and business insights, and creating and improving existing forecasting & reporting methods.

Responsibilities:

• Consolidate and prepare management reporting package(s) of operational and financial results, with a key focus on improvements as business needs evolve; project manage the key forecasting processes across the FP&A team
• Assist key business leaders in developing and refining a high-quality forecast, budget, and long-range plan. Understand and clearly communicate drivers of variances to leadership
• Assist in management of internal Financial Planning system, Adaptive
• Actively provide analytical support and participate in Arcutis’ short-term and long-term forecasting process, including ad-hoc analyses and presentations
• Proactively identify and implement improvements to existing methods and procedures, with the goal to increase actionable insights & efficiency
• Collaborate with members of the Finance team & other functional leaders, ensuring timelines, activities, and assumptions are aligned across workstreams

Qualifications:

• B.A./B.S. in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Consulting, or related field
• Superior analytical and modeling skills, very comfortable with advanced Excel including dynamic arrays, ground-up model creation, and data staging
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with ability to coordinate complex processes with multiple stakeholders across the organization
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and thoughtful, able to tease out key insights and understand second and third order implications of decisions
• Experience with financial statement analysis and an understanding of corporate finance concepts and processes
• Strong IT systems competence and systematic problem-solving ability

• Financial planning system or database experience, preferably Adaptive
• Able to manage multiple programs with competing requirements and timelines, prioritize activities and work both independently & cross-functionally
• Prior experience in Pharma, Biotech, MedTech, or related a plus
• Collaborative, with a desire to work with diverse backgrounds & skill sets
• Advanced degree or certification a plus (MBA, CFA, CPA, or similar)
• Data analytics, data management, or basic programming experience a plus
