Clinical Training Specialist

If you are a talented Clinical Training Specialist with a passion for creative, solution focused, training expertise, join our Center for Education and Professional Excellence.

The Clinical Training Specialist assists in providing a range of functions within the Center for Education & Professional Excellence (The Center). The Clinical Training Specialist works closely with The Center's Director and acts as a Project Manager to support the four Center Institutes: Administration & Compliance, Clinical Learning, Leadership & Supervisory, Social Justice, and the Learning Collaborative to develop and deliver behavioral health education and regulatory training to staff and community partners. The Clinical Training Specialist is responsible for various aspects of clinical training and research, facilitation, and consultation. The Clinical Training Facilitator is a member of a fast-paced and flexible team serving all of BHN.




  • Plans, develops, and implements a variety of professional development opportunities for staff and community partners to increase knowledge, skills, and competency.

  • Uses a social justice lens and model on public health and community-based health perspectives to develop curricula for the adult learner.

  • Creates and designs curriculum consistent with quality and regulatory procedures to meet State, Federal, grant, and funding source mandates.

  • Facilitates live, online, or hybrid courses and training for BHN staff, community stakeholders, and non-profits.





What are we looking for in a Clinical Training Specialist?




  • Bachelor's degree in counseling, Social Work, or related behavioral health field and 5-7 years of behavioral health and community-based knowledge required.

  • Master's Degree, PhD or above in Counseling, Social Work, or related behavioral health field (MA, M.Ed., MS, MSW, PhD, PsyD, Public Health) preferred.

  • 3 - 5 years of licensure or clinical experience preferred (LMHC, LCSW)
