Job Description:

Innova Solutions is hiring a Remote Network Engineer (NOC Tier 2) for a client out of Austin. MUST be able to work CST Hours.

Position type: Full-time, Contract
Duration: 12+ months
Location: Remote

Must be able to work on W2!
Must be able to pass CJIS background
MUST be flexible for shifts!


As a(n) Network Engineeryou will:

  • Maintain LAN and WAN connectivity for multiple remote locations across 25 geographically separated districts and will be responsible for the ingestion and triage of any tickets or requests from the helpdesk.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Familiarity/Experience with 3 or more of the following:

  • Cameras
      • Circuit and WAN Management

      • Interfacing with MPLS and LTE Vendors

      • Cisco ISE and DNAC

      • Encoders/Decoders

      • IoT Equipment

      • NAT/PAT

      • Network Management Tools: SolarWinds Orion, phpIPAM

      • Routers: Cisco IR1101s, 809s

      • Routing Protocols: BGP, OSPF

      • Switches: Cisco 9300, Advantech

      • TACACS/RADIUS



  • Help troubleshoot and maintain network tools and topology maps.

  • Maintain complete detail of issues in ticketing system.

  • Receive phone calls direct from end-users.

  • Work tickets escalated from Tier One service desk personnel and escalate to Tier Three as needed.

  • Conduct research, analysis, and correlation across a wide variety of all source data sets (indications and warnings).

  • Meet SLA requirements for response, restore, and notification time with an emphasis on proper pending codes.

  • Mentor and train Tier other Service Desk personnel as needed.

  • Be able to work shift work (Days, Swings, Mids)..

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range*: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour W2
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
