Computershare Corporate Trust (CCT) is a division within Computershare (CPU) and is a market leader with decades of experience as a provider of trustee and sophisticated agency services for private and public companies, investment bankers, asset managers as well as governments and institutions.

The CCT Business Control Consultant (BCC) role operates within the CCT First Line of Defence (FLoD) Business Control team and actively engages with leaders and subject matter experts to ensure Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance Testing, Regulatory Exams and Third-Party reviews (collectively called "Exams") are promptly handled within agreed upon timeframes and at a quality standard.

The BCC serves as the central point of contact for Exams that impact CCT products and operations. The BCC is responsible for having working knowledge of CCT products, services, deal structures, core systems, applications, regulatory compliance, policies, procedures, risk tolerance and informed of regulatory trends and providing guidance and credibly challenge.

The BCC is responsible for cataloguing Exams, scheduling, and leading meetings (assembling leaders and subject matter experts), assigning responsibilities/ownership, reviewing responses received from internal lines of business for accuracy, engaging Legal and Compliance departments for review and opinion on risk impact, mitigation, and remediation as necessary, providing known and approved responses where applicable and ensuring completeness of response prior to delivery.

The BCC works closely with line of business leaders and relevant internal stakeholders, having one on one discussions, attending department meetings, and proactively providing updates to leadership, key stakeholders, oversight groups, and committees. The BCC will be engaged with critical information such as reporting and metrics that impact Exam performance and execution.

The BCC requires analytical and investigative skills, exercise sound judgment and observe a high degree of confidentiality in handling sensitive materials. BCC supports CCT efforts to address and resolve open issues timely and in accordance with Exam requests and Computershare standards.



  • Serving as the central point of contact/liaison for Exams that impact CCT products and operations.

  • Tracking, coordinating, and preparing requests, scheduling, and leading meetings (assembling leaders and subject matter experts) and ensuring timely and accurate response.

  • Remaining informed of regulatory trends, learning, and understanding business practices and providing guidance.

  • Proactively monitoring and managing CCT's timely resolution of open items and escalate issues.

  • Supporting CCT efforts to address and resolve open issues timely and in accordance with CPU standards and Exam requests.

  • Proactively providing updates to leadership, key stakeholders, oversight groups, and committees.

  • Fostering strong relationships with audit, regulatory compliance, risk testing, business line, business controls, subject matter experts and leadership.



What will you bring to the role?


Required:



  • College level degree or local equivalent in a related business or technology field.

  • At least 10 years of experience in trust, risk, compliance, audit, or financial services.


  • Strong track record in managing audits, testing, and/or exams.


Preferred:



  • Leadership experience preferred.

  • Business service focus and/or Operations with experience actively listening, eliciting information, comprehending issues/needs, and recommending solutions.

  • Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Power Point).

  • Compensation. The typical base pay range for this role is $90,000- $125,000. This base pay is a national average and may not be applicable to all locations.
