The University of Miami/UHealth Department of SCCC has an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Part Time Research Assistant to work at our UHealth Medical Campus.


The Research Assistant (Temporary) performs a variety of duties involved in the recruitment of Hispanic/Latino prostate cancer participants for an NCI funded cancer survivorship interventional research study. The research assistant who will work under the project director to oversee all recruitment related aspects of the day-to-day conduct of the study. Recruitment, data collection, and retention efforts will be conducted in Spanish. Duties include overseeing procedures specific to identification of potential patients including multiple recruitment sources, eligibility, retention and follow-up efforts, and working closely with internal registries. The research assistant will also be responsible for providing research support to the PI, assisting with maintenance of databases, tracking participants, coordination of research meetings, assist with literature reviews/searches and manuscript preparation, data coding, cleaning, and entry, maintaining participant data files and data management. This position will assess participants for the NCI funded, multi-site study Avanzando Caminos (Leading Pathways).

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School diploma or equivalent


Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience. Fluency in Spanish (both spoken and written). Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.

• Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
