Job Description:

Central Orange County manufacturing company has an opening for a Buyer/Purchasing Representative.


This will onsite, Monday to Friday 8am-5pm


Qualifications:


4-5 years" experience in Purchasing/Buyer and Quoting


Strong negotiation skills


Advanced Excel user; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite


Experience in reviewing and negotiating customer or vendor contracts and T & Cs.


Clear verbal communications skills


Job duties:


Analyze a plethora of financial and procurement data to craft negotiation strategies and approve purchasing contracts with optimal terms


Apply knowledge of sourcing strategies in the automotive/manufacturing and aerospace environments.


International purchasing experience is a plus.


Manage and maintain accurate MRP inputs including supplier, lead times, and pricing.


Purchase supplies and materials at the optimal price and delivery cycle while maintaining the lowest possible in inventory levels.


Self-starter with excellent teamwork skills.


Exceptional organizational skills


Verifies profit margins, validity dates, etc.


Keeps clear and accurate records of quotations for future reference.


Preferences:


BS degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or Business Management.


APICS ASCM Certification


Navision experience
