Job Description:

The Rodney Jones Law Group P.C. seeks an ambitious, strategic, forward-thinking individual to manage his/her own Personal Injury Unit docket and Team. The ideal candidate will possess the skill to manage a work environment with high case volumes, is passionate about optimal service delivery, client satisfaction, has the capacity to recognize and develop the skills of others within their unit, and someone who can effectively manage a team to meet high performance productivity.


Attorneys are responsible for managing a team that will handle the entire PI case life (Pre-litigation and Litigation) by handling the following:

Key Responsibilities:

Able to manage a team and departmental docket.

Handle all aspects of appellate litigation, including drafting briefs, motions, and petitions for review.
Analyze trial records and identify appealable issues in personal injury cases.
Present oral arguments before appellate courts.
Collaborate with trial attorneys to preserve issues for appeal during the litigation process.
Conduct in-depth legal research on case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to personal injury appeals.
Advise clients on the likelihood of success on appeal and provide strategic recommendations.
Monitor and interpret relevant appellate court decisions, staying current on trends in personal injury appellate law.
Work on post-trial motions and provide consultation on trial strategies to avoid appellate pitfalls.
Coordinate with other members of the firm to ensure the highest quality of legal services.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Active and in good standing with the Texas State Bar.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in appellate law, preferably in personal injury cases.
Strong knowledge of personal injury law, civil procedure, and appellate procedure.
Proven track record of successful appellate work.
Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple appeals concurrently.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal work.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to communicate in English and Spanish with clients.

Experience with appellate litigation at both state and federal levels.
Published appellate decisions or briefs.
Knowledge of trial strategy and experience working closely with trial attorneys.
