Workday HCM Consultant at Horizontal Talent in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a dedicated Workday HCM Consultant to join their dynamic team. This role is a contract position, offering a hybrid work model with three days in-office required. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work from any of our client's hubs located in Minneapolis, Charlotte, Milwaukee, or Dallas.

As a Workday HCM Consultant, you will work closely with our client's internal HR Product Services team, supporting Core HCM business process enhancements, addressing break/fix issues, and maintaining data. This role requires a deep understanding of manager and employee experiences in the system, including hires, job changes, work and home address changes, termination, and offboarding processes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and enhance Workday business processes to streamline experiences from Hire to Termination
- Evaluate impacts of Workday delivered features
- Support the maintenance of HR data structure such as supervisory organizations and locations
- Conduct mass updates of setup data and worker data using EIBs
- Collaborate with Product Owners and cross-functional teams, as well as customers for demos and proof of concepts

Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 3-5 years of proven experience with Workday HCM functional system administration, design, and configuration
- Ability to understand business requirements, configure Workday solution, demonstrate concepts and processes to business owners, assist in test scenario development and execution
- Experience troubleshooting and enhancing Workday HR business processes, integrations, reporting, and data loads
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other team members while working in a fast-paced Agile environment
- Clear written and verbal communication, strong intrapersonal and interpersonal skills
