Parts Coordinator

What you will do

Maintain parts crib to ensure appropriate stocking levels are maintained. Under general direction and in conformance with company policy, purchase and control indirect materials, supplies, equipment, parts, tools, and services as needed in the manufacture of battery products and associated operations. 

How you will do it

• Receive, store, and issue spare parts, tools, materials, and supplies




• Maintain the CMMS (Maximo) system to keep records of issuance and receipt of items




• Add new parts to the Maximo system




• Update part descriptions in the Maximo system




• Maintain the minimum and maximum inventory levels for maintenance parts and do monthly cycle counts




• Maintain 5S standards for the parts crib, maintaining organization in the tool room, disposing of obsolete parts, and maintaining labels and parts tags




• Prepare preventative maintenance kits prior to the maintenance being performed; may assist manager/supervisor in requisitioning equipment and supplies as needed




• Help maintain maintenance work records




• Work overtime as required to meet internal and external customer requirements.

What we look for

• Minimum 4 years relevant parts crib experience in a manufacturing environment is required.




• MAXIMO software experience is a plus.




• Ability to operate a computer workstation and knowledge of related software.




• Knowledge of purchasing, supplier qualification, and vendor/supplier management




• Experience with project/task management including ability to plan, prioritize, organize and analyze
