The incumbent in this position is responsible for overseeing multiple residential new construction and rehabilitation projects for the Seminole Tribe of Florida Housing Department. The individual ensures that projects are completed on time, on budget and to the highest quality in member satisfaction standards. Manages and supervises the activities of a varying number of general contractors and construction workers and manages and supervises work processes in order to ensure compliance with Housing Department's goals and the provision of high quality services.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Planning, Architecture, Engineering or related field is required. A minimum of three (3) years of experience managing multiple construction and/or rehabilitation projects is required; or an equivalent combination of education/training and experience will be considered. Current Florida State General Contractor's license or able to attain GC license within 18 months of assuming the position is required. Ability to interpret technical specifications and construction drawings is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills including English written and verbal communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required. Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays and able to travel to all the Reservations.
