Job Description:

The Recovery Tech Supervisor acts as a leader between the patient and treatment staff when the Director of Operations and Compliance is not present. The Recovery Tech Supervisor assists in providing a safe environment for patients by observing and reporting all patient activity, engages patients in activities and programming, maintains a visible presence on the patients at the detox center. The Recovery Tech Supervisor is responsible for supervising Recovery Techs with the emphasis on patient safety and well-being.
Develops a daily structure for clients.Oversees detox clients.Acts as a leader when the Director of Operations and Compliance is not present Instructs and confirms the companys rules and regulations to new admissions.Orients new clients to the facility.Searches all incoming patients by assisting the nurse in a safety body search and search of belongings, including luggage and personal items. All items must be inventoried in EMR.Follows Policy and Procedure in disposing of drugs/ paraphernalia found during safety search, belongings search, and or room search. All drugs/paraphernalia must be recorded in the destruction log with another staff present as a witness of the destruction. Assists in taking Urine Drug Screenings of patients, as needed.Evaluates quality of program on an ongoing and consistent basis.Facilitates communication with ancillary services.Attends bi-monthly Recovery Tech meetings to report any issues that may be occurring.Always supports Nursing staff.Ensures all activities are starting and ending on time. Provides education and training, as neededMaintains a current CPR Certification.Participates in required staff trainingAbility to lift weighted items including luggage.Perform all other tasks that are assigned.Maintains understanding of patients rights per the Mental Health Code, upholds patients rights, reports abuse of patients rights immediately and assists patients with filing complaints, as needed.
