Job Summary: The Plant Manager oversees daily operations and develops long-term strategic plans for the manufacturing departments. The primary focus is on maximizing productivity and efficiency to enhance overall company profitability and secure new business in targeted markets. This new business must align with our current manufacturing capabilities and yield acceptable profitability.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Develop and execute manufacturing and capital investment plans.
Collect and research data to optimize production in Company equipment and production departments.
Collaborate closely with other management team members, department VPs, and directors for corporate planning and initiatives.
Work in tandem with the Accounting & Finance group on capital investment plans.
Engage with suppliers or vendors, including meals and industry events where applicable.
Attend and actively participate in training sessions.
Address employee issues in the production areas by working closely with the Director of Human Resources.
Contribute to the development and review of production-related policies and procedures in collaboration with Human Resources.
Collect and report data on Operations group metrics.
Ensure compliance with all Company SOPs and regulations, including but not limited to:
Employee Health and Safety
SQF (Safe Quality Food packager) and GMP (good manufacturing procedures) to eliminate contaminants in packaging.
SGP (Sustainable Green Printer) environmental regulatory procedures and SOPs.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) or equivalent, along with 10 years of Business Development
Experience in the Printing or Packaging industry would be preferred
Strong communication and presentation skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Skills:
Ability to analyze and interpret technical journals, technical data sheets, and market publications.
Strong reasoning abilities to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Proficiency in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft software, Crystal reports, Globe-tek, and equipment-specific software programs.
