Job Description:

Inventory Analyst

Function:

To ensure the purchase of raw materials and finished goods to meet production needs and customer requirements as well as to develop, implement, and maintain all procedures and protocols regarding proper inventory control for the purpose of maintaining accurate financial information. This position reports to the Sales Operations Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Others may be assigned as needed.
  • Purchase raw materials and finished goods from German parent company as well as other international and domestic vendors.
  • Maintain and improve the company's inventory of raw materials by analyzing inventory statistics.
  • Use databases and computer systems to provide situational overviews in inventory, supply chain or demand.
  • Review data trends in inventory, supply chain or demand and recommend operational solutions to management team that create revenue or prevent loss.
  • Partner with the accounts receivables and accounts payable department to ensure that all transactions are accounted for.
  • Resolve discrepancies between the amount of inventory and the amount of revenue quickly and accurately.
  • Monitor inventory levels very closely and resolve any issues that become apparent.
  • Develop and implement systems for accurately managing inventory.
  • Maintain records regarding inventory control, intake, and sales.
  • Report to upper management regularly and provide recommendations for better inventory control.
  • Manage consignment customer accounts. Determine appropriate inventory levels, analyze sales, track inventories, and collaborate with consignment customers.
  • Project management lead for cross-departmental teams.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Mathematics, Data Analytics or a related field.
• 3-5 years' experience in data analytics, supply chain, inventory analytics or procurement for a manufacturing company.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Experience with databases and spreadsheets.
• Strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
