Hays has partnered with a local full service real estate firm headquartered in Bellevue, WA. We're looking for a Property Accounting Manager to oversee their portfolios accounting and financial side of things.
Your new role
- Oversee the accounting functions for a mixed portfolio of assets, primarily commercial properties.
- Manage and mentor a team of 5 property accountants and 1 AR bookkeeper.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Coordinate with property managers and other departments to ensure seamless financial operations.
- Prepare and review budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and audits.
What you'll need to succeed
- Preferably a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Yardi.
