Here’s What You’ll Get to Do

• Reports to Sr. Manager, Procurement


• Manages Procurement activities in home facility and manages the Procurement team across a defined set of OBE facilities


• Voices the priorities of team’s internal and external customers to the larger Procurement organization


• Assures implementation of Procurement processes, tools and initiatives within area of responsibility. Provides ongoing feedback to the implementation team


• Directs Regional sourcing in compliance with company’s strategies, policies and procedures


• Provides feedback to company’s processes and strategies to assure they meet the needs of OBE facilities, with the goal of a ‘low-friction’ procurement experience


• Supports the development of OBE Category Strategies, including supplier & product requirements. Alerts OBE Category Management to opportunities discovered at the local level


• Maintains active 2-way communication throughout the organization regarding OBE’s procurement processes and Category Strategies, and monitors ongoing compliance


• Discovers and captures opportunities to improve Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) within OBE facilities, including VA/VE efforts (workshops, analysis, etc.) and coordination of make/buy decisions as appropriate


• Develops network to extrapolate local opportunities across OBE facilities in a spirit of continuous improvement


• Assures world class KPI performance in Procurement’s operational metrics, e.g., supplier delivery and raw material inventory levels


• Serves as escalation point for supplier performance issues (Quality, Delivery,) to assure resolution in a fact-based manner


• Supports quotation process of customer projects


• Supports product development deliverables as appropriate


• Maintains collaborative working relationships with OBE’s key suppliers, consistent with OBE’s virtues

 

Here’s What We’re Looking For

• 6+ Years’ Experience in a Manufacturing Environment, 3+ Years with management responsibility. Procurement preferred, also an opportunity for Operations, Materials, Engineering or Finance


• 4-Year degree, with preference for Supply Chain, Business or Engineering


• Proven history of identifying and capturing opportunities


• Demonstrated ability to lead across organizational boundaries


• Collaborative and cross-functional approach to achieving objectives


• Experience in developing team members to the next level of capability


• Positive approach to building and generating value from supplier relationships


• Record of creating effective KPI’s and/or escalating performance vs. KPI’s through innovative approaches


• Ability to travel 10% of the time
