$85,000-$105,000 annually
Hybrid work model- 3 days in office, two days remote
We are looking for a candidate that is confident in their skills and ready to perform! This position has unlimited growth potential for a true goal driven professional. The Assistant Project Manager provides overall administrative and construction support for multiple projects for our Project Management Teams. They have the responsibility for working closely with the Project Manager in providing documentation and administrative support for projects. The Assistant Project Manager is in contact with owners, customers, and subcontractors, which requires tact, sensitivity, and professionalism. Construction experience preferred but not necessary.
Essential Functions for the Assistant Project Manager
Responsible for all project administration for their team, including but not limited to:
Preparing Budgets
Writing Subcontracts
Preparing RFI's
Preparing Takeoffs
Preparing Proposals
Maintaining and preparing all logs and documentation for weekly project meetings
Cooperating with and assisting field personnel (Super's & Foremen)
Assuming total project supervision responsibilities in Project Manager's absence.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Reviewing and interpreting civil, structural, and geotechnical construction documents with assistance from the Project Manager
Assisting the Project Manager in preparing cost estimates and proposals for ground support solutions
Working with the Project Manager in communicating with clients, engineers, and architects to move the sales process along and bring the project to contract
Collaborating with members of the management and operations teams
Assisting with reviewing bid invites and updating the bid calendar
Setting up subcontractors and material and equipment suppliers for projects with guidance from the Project and Operations Manager
Assisting Project Managers with tracking, preparing, and negotiating change orders and claims
Assisting in researching and resolving drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interferences, and errors
Acting as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors
Assisting with submitting contract compliance forms (EEO related, pre-qualifications, etc.)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Minimum two years' experience working in a similar role within construction or similar field
Ability to read blueprints
Ability to prioritize tasks, averaging 10-15 projects at a time
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent documentation and organizational skills with attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
