Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY As a Manufacturing Plant Manager, you will be directly responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility. Your primary focus will be ensuring the safety of all employees, maintaining high standards of product quality, optimizing production and delivery schedules, and controlling operational costs. You will lead a team of supervisors, production, engineering and maintenance staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing management, a commitment to safety and quality, and a proven track record of achieving cost and delivery targets.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure a safe working environment by implementing and maintaining safety protocols and compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Oversee production processes to ensure that products are manufactured on time and meet quality standards.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize plant efficiency, reduce costs, and improve delivery schedules.
• Manage and lead a team of supervisors and production staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
• Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Oversee manufacturing engineering and maintenance teams to ensure manufacturing lines are performing to designed production rates and are achieving target mechanical uptime.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as production scheduling and logistics, to support overall business goals.
• Prepare and manage the plant's budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and employee engagement.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
• Proven experience as a Plant Manager or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety standards, and quality control systems. • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Experience leading manufacturing engineering and maintenance teams.
• Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and make decisions quickly.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
