Simply Youth Institute empowers young women through finance and wellness education to break the cycle of generational poverty. Through our programs, we equip young women with the tools to build financial independence and foster personal well-being. Role Description
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Program Assistant Intern to support the mission of Simply Youth Institute. This is a part-time, hybrid role, with some work conducted remotely and in-person. The intern will assist with program management, support the Executive Director, and play an active role in facilitating youth programming. Responsibilities will include setting up and breaking down tables and event spaces, being present and engaged with students, and providing administrative support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management and delivery of programs that educate young women.
- Provide logistical support, including setting up and breaking down tables and materials for in-person sessions.
- Be present and supportive during student sessions, helping to create a positive and engaging environment.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, data entry, and document preparation.
- Provide direct support to the Executive Director in various tasks and projects.
- Attend program sessions on Mondays from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
- Must be available on Mondays from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM for program sessions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- An interest in youth development, empowerment, and addressing generational poverty.
- Currently enrolled as a college student.
-Must be local to Eugene, OR.
-Must have reliable transportation.
-Must be okay with this being an unpaid internship.
