RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities:
- System design, control systems, and machine safety
- Manage large complex projects with skills in both mechanical and electrical industrial automation
- Work closely with customers, both remotely and on-site, to ensure their requirements and timelines are kept
- Design, program, and test production line custom testing equipment
- Firm understanding of PLC programming, industrial automation, and electrical systems
- Up to 15 to 20% travel (Travel during the weekdays-2 days) Domestic travel
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic, Robotics, Physics, or similar field or equivalent work experience
- At least 5-8+ years of Controls Engineering and PLC Programming
- Strong PLC programming, industrial automation, and electrical systems experience
- Experience in pneumatic design and general industrial automation
- PLC programming and HMI software proficiency (Allen Bradley or Siemens)
- Proficient in safety standards and wiring
- Great communication skills with both customer and internal shop personnel
- Understand and apply proper electrical standards, such as NFPA 79 or similar
- Ability to manage large complex projects with skills in both mechanical and electrical industrial automation
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while exhibiting accuracy and decisiveness
- Ability to program and learn cross-platform software per customer needs (common PLC vendors, Lab View, OPC/SCADA needs)
- Ability to read, understand and create electrical schematics
- Comprehensive system design, control systems, and machine safety experience is desired
- Skilled in electrical calculations including panel design is desired
- Proficient in SolidWorks Electrical Software or similar Electrical CAD Software Package is a plus
- Experience in programming structured languages such as C/C++, Java, etc. is a plus but not required
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
