RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Network Engineer in Crossville, TN.

Summary:
The client is seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our team. As a Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our network infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless connectivity, security, and reliability.

Responsibilities:
Network Infrastructure Management:

• Configure, deploy, and maintain network devices, including Fortinet Firewalls, Dell core switches, and Ubiquiti access points


• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize network traffic


• Collaborate with system administrators and helpdesk personnel to address network-related escalations

Security and Compliance:

• Implement and maintain network security policies

Server Environment:

• Manage Windows servers (approximately 30 to 40 servers)


• Work within a small Azure footprint

Monitoring and Automation:

• Utilize Ninja RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) tool for proactive monitoring and automation tasks

Onsite Data Center Support:

• Be the point of contact for data center operations


• Handle escalations from Level 1 system administrators and helpdesk staff

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)


• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE) are a plus

Data Center and NOC Experience:

• While we welcome seasoned professionals, we are also open to candidates with relevant Data Center (DC) or Network Operations Center (NOC) experience


• Familiarity with data center best practices, rack management, and cable management is a plus

Security and Compliance:

• No experience with high-end security tools (Siem, EDR) is required for this role
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently


• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
