This position is responsible for safely and accurately packaging product into drums/totes/pails as assigned. Ensure proper, safe, clean and efficient movement/handling of company products in tank trailer, hose connections, and packaging equipment.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
Follow procedures for product filtration, sampling, labeling, and documentation
Manually gauge and sample tanks and tank trailers
Stock and sort product for packaging or filling machine operation, and replenish packaging supplies, such as wrapping paper, plastic sheet, boxes, cartons, glue, ink, or labels
Package the product in the form that it will be shipped (drums, totes, pails, etc.)
Sort, grade, weigh, and inspect products, verifying and adjusting product weight or measurement to meet specifications
Line up transfer lines from the tank or tank trailer to drumming machine
Observe drumming machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards
Palletize drums for shipment and placard with hazmat labels
Attach identification labels to finished packaged items, or cut stencils and stencil information on containers, such as lot numbers or shipping destinations
Operate lift equipment (fork lift) for packaged product movement
Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material
Enter product information (i.e., product movement) into computer systems
Count and record finished and defective/quarantined packaged items in ERP system
Assist bulk and warehouse personnel in day-to-day activities as needed
Loss Control responsibilities include: conducting inspections and audits related to the Loss Control program as assigned, participating in Hazard Reviews as needed, recommending safety improvements, completion of safety action items as assigned, completing required regulatory training, and compliance with all applicable regulations.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, & Outlook
Basic math skills
Ability to work approved overtime

Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. This job may require the following: walking primarily on a level surface throughout the day; occasional climbing up ladders on tanks & tank trailers; operating forklift; moving drums and pallets when needed; reaching above shoulder heights and below the waist to lift as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday; and lift up to 55 pounds on occasion. Proper lifting techniques are required.
Primary environment: split between ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment, outside, and non-air-conditioned warehouse found within a chemical manufacturing plant. Certain areas in the manufacturing plant and warehouse require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, hard hat, safety boots, and mandatory hearing protection.
